Additives should be used year-round in order to keep your fuel system and engine cleaned, protected, and lubricated. Some potential threats you should be aware of include: gelling in cold weather, rust or injector damage from holding water, sludge build up, and reduced lubricity from fuel injector wear. We offer our own branded additives under the Gladiator name as well as Winterized Polar Protection.

Winter Additives

Our winter formulas are multi-functional additives formulated to improve low-temperature filterability, control moisture, prevent filter icing, and keep the fuel system clean. These next-generation anti-foulant options vastly improve the performance of vehicles equipped with HPFI (High-Pressure Fuel Injection) systems, removing hard carbon deposits from injectors and restoring engine power. It also enhances the thermal and oxidation stability of the ULSD, preventing the formation of black sludge and extending filter life.

  • Cold flow improvers can improve fuel filterability up to 12-24°F below cloud point.
  • Moisture control chemistry allows moisture to safely pass through the system and prevents formation of tank water bottoms which can lead to a variety of issues.
  • Cleans-Up fuel injection systems per XUD-9, DW10B tests, 10/10 on DW10C and as tested on a heavy-duty John Deere 6.8L engine.
  • Eliminates formation of carboxylate salt and carbon deposits in High-pressure Fuel Injection systems.
  • Container size options: cases of two 2.5-gallon jugs, 55-gallon drums, 275-gallon totes, & cases of twelve 1-quart bottles.
  • Increases Cetane Number up to 2 points on average.
  • Restores fuel economy to new engine performance levels.

    • Helps lower Cold Filter Plugging Point and Pour Point.
    • Reduces risk of fuel line freeze ups.
    • Provides detergency which helps keep injectors clean for more efficient operation.
    • Assists in increasing fuel stability and corrosion control, reducing filter plugging and sludge formation.

    Polar Protection

    • Improves ignition quality, raising cetane by up to 2 numbers for easier cold starting.

    • Can prevent premature fuel filter plugging due to asphaltenes or residual glycerides in biodiesel blends.
